Piggl KITCHEN is engineered to fit all short and long wheel base T5 and T6 VW Transporters (including T5.1 and T6.1). If you do own a long wheelbase camper van, then Piggl KITCHEN will leave a larger gap between the kitchen and drivers seat as it is installed over the rear wheel arch from the D-Pillar.

In a LWB Transporter you may need to trim a small amount of wood from the back of the kitchen to fit over the additional feature shown below:

Piggl KITCHEN is a slimline kitchen (only 31cm in depth) and is designed to fit alongside Piggl BIKE-BED. These two products have been engineered to work together. Whilst you can purchase and use Piggl KITCHEN alone, another standard size camper van bed may not fit alongside it. 

Whilst Piggl KITCHEN and Piggl BIKE-BED are both made from black Hexa plywood, they are different thicknesses and made in different batches by our supplier and as such the black colour may vary. 

With Piggl KITCHEN installed alongside Piggl BIKE-BED, and with the bed collapsed, you will only be able to store up to two bikes inside the van with you whilst you sleep. These bikes will need to be placed sideways across the van behind the driver's seat with a wheel removed. 

You can still carry up to three bikes in Piggl BIKE-BED whilst on the move - perfect for day trips! Alternatively, bikes can be secured outside of the van for longer trips away. 

Whilst Piggl KITCHEN and Piggl BIKE-BED are both made from black Hexa plywood, they are different thicknesses and made in different batches by our supplier and as such the black colour may vary. 

Piggl KITCHEN needs to be secured to the internal, metal wall panels of your van. We do not include installation fixings with Piggl KITCHEN as each customer can choose their preferred method of fitting. Piggl recommends one of these two options:

1. Slot threaded bolts through the metal panels of your van and secure the bolts in place using washers and locking nuts. The bolts should still be exposed after you have insulated and carpeted your van interior. The back of the kitchen can then be drilled to fit neatly over these bolts and you can secure the kitchen in place securely with washers and locking nuts.
  

NOTE: You may also wish to secure the Piggl KITCHEN to the floor of your van using metal brackets (not provided) if you have a solid sub-floor.

Piggl KITCHEN comes in two modules that, once assembled, fit seamlessly together in a row. The floor of the van needs to be flat - it cannot be fitted to the bare metal ribs of the van floor.

Piggl KITCHEN will be delivered to you on a pallet as a flat-pack kit. Each component is provided to you pre-cut and pre-drilled along with all the fixtures, fittings and instructions you will need to assemble it. Simply follow our step-by-step guide.

A good degree of DIY competency and some of your own tools like a power driver will be required- as will two people to help build, lift and install. If in doubt, consult a qualified trade person.

You must decide which fitting method you want to use to install Piggl KITCHEN into your Transporter and provide appropriate fixings. 

We prefer to keep cooking smoke and smells out of our van. Therefore, our Piggl KITCHEN does not include an inbuilt hob or gas ring. However, this portable gas camping stove is the perfect size to be stored neatly on a shelf inside the Piggl KITCHEN cupboard.

*Do not place hot items directly onto Piggl KITCHEN surfaces, always use a suitable heat protective mat.

As standard Piggl KITCHEN does not include a cool box or fridge. We recommend a stand alone cool box that can be used inside and outside your van. Shown in the image below is a Dometic CF16 coolbox. 

In a SWB van there is a 230mm gap between the kitchen and the B-pillar behind the driver's seat for a coolbox to be placed. This gap will be larger in a LWB van. 

As standard a slimline sink with waste is provided with Piggl KITCHEN.

Piggl KITCHEN does not include a tap, electrics for the tap nor a water input or disposal system. This is because all customers have a different idea of how they’d like to use their kitchen and also their own preference on style and finish of tap. Some customers may want hot and cold water and others may only want cold water. It is up to you how you dispose of waste water.

FRESH WATER ONLY: Some users choose to drain waste water from the sink to the outside using the standard bung hole in the floor of their Transporter. This is only acceptable if all you are not using detergents which may cause harm to the environment. You might consider this fresh water installation kit which can be purchased from us separately here ↠ In this set up a water container is placed in the top of the rear kitchen unit where it can be fed into the tap and easily removed for re-filling.

FRESH & FOUL WATER: This is the best option if you plan to use detergents to clean dishes. We recommend this fresh and foul water installation kit which can be purchased from us separately here ↠ In this set up two containers are placed in the cupboard under the sink where fresh water can be fed into the tap from one container, and waste water can empty from the sink into the second container. Both containers can be removed easily for re-filling and emptying.

To make placing an order as easy and as flexible as possible we have two payment options:

1. Pay in full immediately. Once your order is ready to be dispatched we will contact you directly to discuss a suitable delivery date for you. 

2. Pay a deposit. This deposit is a part-payment of your order and is non-refundable. The deposit secures your slot for us to begin CNC manufacture of your unit. Once your order is ready to be dispatched we will contact you directly to take the remaining balance payment and to discuss a suitable delivery date for you. 

Deposit payments are not available on accessories. 

By placing an order you are confirming that you have read and understood our Terms & Conditions, how Piggl KITCHEN works, that it will be provided as a flat-pack product for you to assemble and install and that you have read and understood what items and fixings are or are not included as standard.

Delivery is only Monday - Friday. We cannot deliver at weekends or bank holidays.

Please allow approximately 2-3 weeks for the processing, manufacture, packing and delivery of Piggl KITCHEN. We will notify you when your order is ready to dispatch to arrange a suitable delivery date. Delivery will be made on a pallet and customers are responsible to have someone at the delivery address and adequate space to accept the delivery. 

All deliveries are of flat-pack and require self-assembly.
